Local Outreach

Nursing Home Ministry - Redeemer ministers to the residents of the Manhattan Nursing Home each Sunday morning by leading a worship service at this neighborhood facility.  If you would like to get involved in this ministry, contact Jae Yoo or call the church office at 601-362-9987.

"Redeeming Grace" Radio Ministry - The most recent addition to Redeemer's outreach ministries, Redeemer is now on the air every Saturday at 9:00 a.m.  Tune in to WOAD, 1300 AM, to hear Pastor Mike Campbell preach the word of God -- and encourage your friends to tune in as well!  These sermons can also be downloaded from Atlantic Coast Communications by clicking here.

Sports Ministry - Redeemer currently has a vibrant basketball ministry in place.  These activities serve not only as an athletic outlet for local youth, but as a door to building relationships that lead to mentoring opportunities and spiritual development.  The basketball ministry is held each Tuesday in the Wesley Seminary gymnasium, just half a block from Redeemer.  Youth ages first grade through eighth grade play 5:45-7:10 p.m., and ages ninth grade and older play 7:30-9:00 p.m.  Contact Elbert McGowan, an Intern here at Redeemer Church, for more information.  You can click on his name to reach him by email, or call the office at 601-362-9987.

Tutoring Ministry - After school tutoring is available to neighborhood children on Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. during the academic year.  The tutoring ministry is a way for Redeemer members to involve themselves in the lives of local neighborhood children while meeting practical, real-life needs.  If you would like your child to receive tutoring, contact the church office for more information.  If you would like to volunteer, contact Laura Smith.  (Email or call the church office at 601-362-9987 for her number).

YMCA Ministry - Belhaven RUF is running our YMCA ministry, but anyone interested may be involved.  They meet at the Manhattan YMCA on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.  Contact the church office at 601-362-9987 for information about volunteering.
