Missions
Faith Promise
Redeemer
Church is a missional church. That means we consider reaching the
world with the Good News of Jesus Christ a high priority in the
overall life of our church. As you spend time at Redeemer you will
soon notice that a missionary spirit is reflected in every ministry
of our church.
Our Mission
Department exists to instill this missionary vision and to encourage
our congregation in the work of the Great Commission by providing
the church with resources, personnel, evangelistic training, and
opportunities to serve and to share as God provides. Our key
function as a department is to work as a team
SENDING, FUNDING,
and
EQUIPPING
our missionaries and
GOING as a
church into all the world making disciples of every people group.
We believe God is using Redeemer as a part of
His grand scheme to call His elect out from every nation, tribe and
tongue. But reaching the world with the Gospel does not come
cheap. There is a cost on our time, our energies, our skills, our
spiritual gifts, and our resources. Jesus set the model for us in
Scripture through His life of sacrifice. We join Him in
sacrificially investing in the lives of people who need to know the
love and grace of God found only in the person of Jesus
Christ. Redeemer’s financial investment into missions is provided
in two ways: a percentage of the general budget that is set aside
for Missions, and a mechanism called FAITH PROMISE GIVING.
What Is Faith Promise Giving?
A Faith Promise investment is primarily sacrificial giving that is
“over and above” giving. There is money that each
one of us
should
give, our tithe, but there are also those funds we
could
give; that’s sacrificial giving. There are also funds that we
would
give if the Lord would provide them. Faith Promise giving is the
could and the
would
gifts. We are encouraging each member of Redeemer to make a Faith
Promise pledge to give as God blesses them. It’s the money we all
have and spend when we discover that we have more than we expected
to get from a job or project, a bonus or a special gift or
inheritance.
Faith Promise Giving
enables us to participate in missions on even a greater scale
than we normally could with just our regular giving. It is
designed not to interfere with the regular giving to the church, and
it is not a substitute for our tithes and our special offerings for
the building and other ministries of the church. Along with the
Missions support provided through our tithes and offerings to the
General Budget, Faith Promise gives us additional funds with which
we can support more ministries and mission efforts locally and
around the world. You will find Faith Promise Investment Cards in
the card racks on the back of every pew. Please take one and pray
and plan now to invest in missions through Faith Promise.

Foreign Missions
"Foreign Missions" includes all missionaries and mission
organizations that are outside the United States. Many are
affiliated with
Mission to the World (MTW), the foreign
missions agency of the
Presbyterian Church in America, but a number
of them are affiliated with other churches or agencies, and some are
independent. Below is a list of the missionaries and
organizations supported by Redeemer Church. You can click on
many of the organization names to visit their websites or click on
their email address to send them a note of encouragement and let
them know they are in your prayers.
