Activities:
Growth Groups will meet this week in various homes.

times. Please note that the Watts/Barranco group will meet
this week at the Watts' home just this week instead of the Barranco
home.
For Ladies Only:
On Sunday, May 18, the ladies of Redeemer will meet together in the
Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour (9:45 - 10:35) to
elect our new Women's Ministry Team Executive Council members.
Ladies, plan now to attend!

Vacation Bible School

- Creative
people to help us build the
"arena" - using a sports theme
to tell the story of Joshua.
- Lots of
volunteers for classrooms,
crafts, music, recreation, etc.
- Newspapers,
magazines, and calendars,
particularly those of sports or
Olympic themes. A
collection box is in the
Gathering Area for these items.

The Manhattan Nursing Home Ministry is in need of a piano player who
is willing to serve one or two Sundays a month. If you are
interested, please contact

Center for
Pregnancy Choices 2008 Golf "Fore" Life Mini-Marathon Making
a Difference "Fore" Life,
a 50-Hole Shoot Out will be held on May 12
at
Whisper Lake Golf Club. Golfers will seek
sponsors in advance who will be willing to support them as
they attempt to play 50 holes in one day. It's easy to
sign up! Sponsor forms can be found in the narthex, so
sign up to play or register your donation today! For

Dieckman's father) - Will be admitted to one-day surgery
on Wednesday, May 7.

John Stuckey (Madonna Batte's
father) - Had a massive heart attack on Tuesday, May 6.
He is at the VA Hospital in Jackson.

Caitlin Vickery - Her thumb is
healing properly and will not require additional
surgery.

Shannon Williford (Lissy Ross'
father) - In Baptist Hospital, awaiting test results for
an abdominal mass.

Doris Jones (mother of Dorothy
King) - Has returned to Dorothy's home following the
amputation of her lower leg last week.

Marie Visser - Recovering from
surgery last week.

Lucille Pearson - Recovering
at home from heart failure and pneumonia.

Areanna Justice Ramser (granddaughter of Alisha Weatherall) - Hospitalized in
the Blair Batson Pediatric Critical Care Unit with
pneumonia and possibly whooping cough.

Sam Larsen has had his heart
catheterization postponed until May 13.
-
Albert Mills (father of Stuart
Mills) - Was diagnosed with prostate cancer some time
ago and had surgery to remove the prostate. His
psa levels have gone back up causing concern.
-
Grace Marsh - Will not be able
to adopt the two girls from the Ukraine due to a new law
passed by the Ukranian government forbidding adoptions
by single people or those over 45 years old. Grace
is very disappointed; however, Karina will be able
to visit Grace this summer. Alyona is now too old
(16) to be adopted. Grace asks your prayers for
her, and for Karina, that a good family will be able to
adopt her.

Laura Chinchen (Missionary to
Malawi) - Had an ovarian cyst removed in Johannesburg on
Wednesday, April 16. She is experiencing
significant pain.

Al Rhett (Keren Campbell's
brother-in-law) - Diagnosed with colon cancer, he is
recovering from recent surgery and in need of strength
for future treatments.
-
Betty Flanagan (Sara Phillips'
grandmother) - Hospitalized in Texas with deteriorating
health.
-
Andrew Thompson (Keren Campbell's
brother) - Continuing to recover from a brain injury
related to a motorcycle
accident.
-
Jonathan Perkins (nephew of
Ron & Joanie Potter) - Diagnosed with Hodgkin's
lymphoma.
-
Josiah Huggins (Sam & Louise Larsen's son-in-law)
- Has been deployed to Iraq for fifteen
months. Please pray for him, his wife Kristen, and
their children.

David Hogue's father
passed away in a
car accident on Tuesday, April 22 in Louisiana.
-
Al Arnold's grandmother -
passed away last week in Tupelo.
-
Molly Gregory's grandmother
passed away suddenly on April 30 in Lucedale, MS.
