|
|
Parenting
children is an important and very complex task!
Dr. Hurley shares his expertise and applies God's
Word to help equip Redeemer parents. While Dr.
Hurley's class from last semester covered how to
help your child experience your love, this semester
will concentrate on practical ways to "train up a
child." This class will move through
Loving Obedience: Child Training Techniques that
Work, a very practical
parenting book by Dr. Bill Richardson. |
|
|
|
|
"When Faith & Decisions Collide" |
 |
- Teachers:
Raymond Hall & Lloyd Robertson
- Classroom: Room
106
|
|
Few things
weigh more on the minds of Christians than the
search for God's will for their lives. Often
we resort to games of chance as a means of trying to
determine what we should be doing. We believe
that Scripture has answered this question.
|
|
The goal
for this class and the book is . . . "to show that
the will of God is an ever developing, unfolding,
often surprising, sometimes disappointing, but
ultimately fulfilling journey. Not something
we arrive at after much consternation and work, but
something we are involved in every minute of every
day." |

"Church History" |
 |
- Teacher: Dr. Wynn Kenyon
& Brad Shaw
- Classroom: Room
220
|
|
This course continues from
last semester and covers the development of the New
Testament Canon. It covers the place of
Scripture and tradition in the life of the early
church, how the early church interacted with Greek
philosophies of the time, and the formation of the
doctrine of the Person of Christ that arose from
this interaction with Greek thought. |

|
"Galatians" |
 |
- Teacher:
Assistant Pastor Jae Yoo
- Classroom: Room
105
|
|
The Book of Galatians is about
the defense of the true gospel of grace against the
gospel of works, the bondage of legalism. The
truth of the gospel or the doctrine of justification
by faith is the central tenet of Protestant
Christianity, and it has been rediscovered over and
over again down through history. Reformation
was another monumental occasion in which this truth
was massively rediscovered from the deep darkness of
the Medieval Church. |
